With that kind of Dynamic Payment Terms that your customer may offer you, if an invoice is approved in your customers’ accounts payable process on the 10th day, that invoice will automatically be added to their payment run on the 10th day and a prorated discount will be taken.Įxample 2 - Sliding scale with a "1.5% 10 NET 30 - ASAP" Dynamic Payment Term Your customer can offer you two different types of Dynamic Payment Terms: a full sliding scale, and a sliding scale with a discount window (cliff).Įxample 1 - Full sliding scale of a "1.5% NET 30 - ASAP" Dynamic Payment Term Click here to watch a brief informational video on how Dynamic Payment Terms work. Invoices approved sooner and therefore paid quicker will have a higher discount amount than invoices that are approved slower, and therefore paid later. Once you agree with your buyer on a sliding scale, it is fixed and the discount will always be calculated using that same reference. The advantage of Dynamic Payment Terms is that your payment is processed as soon as the invoice is approved and the discount taken for the payment is calculated on a sliding scale. How unprofessional is this? I believe the first of the year I may need to look for a new app.Dynamic Payment Terms allow you to get paid as soon as your invoices are approved in exchange for a prorated discount. It never fails I tell a customer I’m emailing you the invoice right now, and I can’t send them an invoice, heck I can’t even type up the blasted invoice to send them. The real rub for me with this is it only happens when I have a customer waiting to receive an invoice. First of all I don’t even use iTunes so now I have downloaded the app and signed on to it.oh but that still didn’t remedy the problem. I was also told that I need to be signed in to iTunes when I use the InvoiceASAP app to keep this from happening. This may be so, however why is this the ONLY app I have ever had that would require this? I have been on the phone with the tech people for the app and bottom line they tell me that if I would pay for my subscription through their website and not through iTunes that this would not happen again. The only problem is I pay for unlimited invoices. It has worked fine until about a year ago.Įvery so often, maybe once every 2 months I will get a screen saying I have reached the free portion limit of invoices for the month. Unless invoice asap makes significant changes I am going to just take the hit and buy quick books outright. Ironically, with all the money invoice asap is making off people throughout the world you’d think the app would be much more intuitive with stock features like quick books. This app used to be free which in its current state should be free. I could keep listing limitations of invoice asap but I think you will be getting the idea if you’ve read this far already. There is also no way to upload your own personal company logo. In addition to the aforementioned, you can’t get spelling suggestions at certain phases of creating the invoice. With this limitation, if you make a grammatical error of any sort you will be forced to delete the whole thing and start over or you will need to go into saved “inventory” and try to correct in that realm but it’s a major pain especially when other programs have simple features like this as a stock feature. You can only go back in to change a price, quantity, or notes. It’s not worth the 3.99 per month as invoice asap still has a lot of limitations like not being able to correct the title of an item once you click save.
